The first thing to check is to make sure you're using the same version of the software as you are the version of the iPad app. For example, KilleKeys Express only works with the KillerKeys Express iPad app, and KillerKeys Pro only works with the KillerKeys Pro iPad app.
Secondly, once the software is installed on your computer, make sure you are in "Tablet Mode" before connecting. You can choose tablet mode from the bottom left corner of the settings interface. You will then have access to a tablet settings tab that will show you information to connect your iPad.
Lastly, make sure that your iPad is connected to the same network as your computer system, which currently must be through wifi. Your computer doesn't necessarily have to be using wifi, but the connection must eventually get to the wifi router that your iPad is on.
Also remember, we currently support iPad 3 or newer, or if you're using the mini, it must be the mini with retina display. All other iPad's are too slow to handle the demand of our application, and you may experience lag or sync issues.
